Anti-Tobacco Day Programme

Saying no to tobacco is saying yes to life

To inculcate awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco, Chitra college of Nursing organised a programme on ‘Anti-Tobacco day’ on 1st June 2022. All the students & faculties participated in the programme. The programme got started at 2pm & it began with the principal deliver of a memorable speech on against the use of tobacco & its addictive effects. The students, through posters, mime, skits & songs highlighted the risk involved in the chewing of tobacco. At the end, the final year students who organised the programme, summarized about tobacco, its addicting nature, how it leads to fatal condition & causes incurable diseases.

The academic year 2021-2022 has been a successful year of growth and change for Chitra College of Nursing. Through a range of new initiatives, our college has reached new heights in all fields- curricular, extra-curricular and sports. Here is a detailed report of the activities organized by the College Union election for the year 2022. The purpose is to conduct peaceful and fair election of students union as per University norms (KUHS). The whole procedure for election was guided by the Presiding officer Mrs.Saritha thampi and Returning officer Mrs.Sridevi.V.R. A total of 126 students were enrolled and voted. The election had been started at 10 am and 12.10 the vote counting had been started with protocols. The following candidates were selected for the following posts and the results are as follows;

Environment Day Celebration

Let’s nurture the nature, so that we can have a better future

On 8th June 2022, Chitra college of Nursing organised an awareness programme as a part of World Environment Day. All the students of faculty members have participated with full energy in this programme. The objective of the programme was to spread awareness about saving our environment from various types of pollution & to plant more & more trees to make our mother earth full of greenery. The programme started at 2:00pm. Students from all classes brought saplings to plant. The principle planted a sapling; in the courtyard of the college. Moreover, students also planted sapling. Thereafter, all the students were sent to the college auditorium. In the auditorium, the principle gave a very good speech about how the condition of our environment today is & why, we need to be aware. At the end, he took a promise from all the students that no one will pollute the environment & will not allow anyone to do so. Various cultural programmes based on the theme of saving and preserving the Environment was conducted by the students. The programme got ended at 4pm with a National anthem.
