Nurses Day Cultural Day Celebration

As a part of the Nurses week celebration which was conducted on 11.05.2022 in Muthoot college of Nursing-Kohenchery, from our Chitra college of nursing-three faculties Prof.James Chacko-Principal, Mrs.Revathy S Pillai and Mrs.Shiny Mariam Soman participated along with seven students. The programme had been started at 9 am with the inauguration function that was inaugurated by the Honorable Health Minister-Smt.Veena George followed by which various cultural competitions were conducted. From our college faculties and students had participated in the following cultural competitions such as Elocution, light music, folk song and recitation. By the end of the programme, the winners were announced. We got first position in Elocution (Malayalam) and second position Elocution (English) -Prof.James Chacko. For light music, we got second position- Mrs. Shiny Mariam Soman. From student side (I Yr B.Sc Nursing) won second position in folk song and Recitation Malayalam Gayathri S Kumar from first yr got second position. Overall, we are very proud that in all aspects of cultural and sports competition we got the second position.


Nurses Day Rally

Unfortunately, many people seem to think that the most important people in the healthcare system are the doctors, but this is simply not true. Nurses play a key role in all of our medical institutions, being responsible for the welfare, safety and recovery of patients. By keeping this in mind we celebrated the Nurses Day on May 6th& May 12th based on the theme “Nurses A Voice to lead- Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health. District level of Nurses day celebration was held on 12th May 2022 at Pathanamthitta General Hospital and it was started at 9am followed by hosting of flag by Mr. Swapnil M Mahajan MPS- Superintendent of police-PTA. Three faculties- Prof.James Chacko-Princip[al, Mrs.Lekshmi, Mrs.Kanchana and 33 students participated in the rally.Seven colleges participated in the rally. The rally winded at Aban Auditorium, Pathanamthitta at 10.30 am with a programme inauguration by Advocate T. Sakeer Hussain- Municipal chairman of Patahnamthitta and Advocate Pramod Narayanan- MLA Ranni. They distributed the prizes to overall winners of cultural and sports. Even we are very proud that our college won second position. Afternoon a lunch session had been organized by the unit of Nurses association of Pathanamthitta branch.


Teachers Day Celebration

Teaching is a profession that teaches all other professions. A day is kept aside to remember all the teachers. This day is celebrated in commemoration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was the well-known diplomat, scholar and above all a teacher.To carry forward this tradition, SRMS Pharmacy celebrates this occasion with much vigour enthusiasm.The programme commenced with the welcome of the Principal Prof.JamesChacko, Faculty members and staff members followed by appreciation by students. Students of Final year organized different games and other programmes like singing, dancing and act. Teachers participated in all the games with great enthusiasm.
