College Council
  • For The Academic Year 2021-2022

College council is the primary participatory governance group whose mission is to engage constituent groups in decision making process on matters of institutional significance. So based on this mission our college has formulated the council for the academic year 2021-22 to review the councils goals from last year annual report and bring forth ideas for additional goals to the next meeting to discuss. The following council members were selected; Chairman- Prof.James Chacko (Principal) , Committee members- Prof Mr.SivaJeya Anand.T, Mrs.Sridevi.V.R, Mrs.Violet Jayamani ,Mrs.Sartitha Thampi , Mrs.Sandhaya Gopinath, Head of The department of Physical Education : Mr Anil A,Chairman of the college Union : Ms . Elizabeth Scaria, Administrative Officer: Mr.Shaji.K, President of the PTA Association: Mr. Sajin Joy two representatives of the teaching staff: Mrs. Priya Krishna, Mrs.Archana J Pillai. Chairman of council encourage timely review of policies and administrative procedures throughout the academic year.


Mental Health Day

World health day is celebrated on 10 th October 2021. It is an international day for global mental health education awareness and advocacy against social stigma. Our college also celebrated this day by starting with a prayer song. In the programme was headed by the first year students by a welcome dance. Welcome speech was given by Bincy biju of II year. Inaugural address was by Prof.James Chacko, Principal. Vice Principal Prof.Siva Jeya Anand felicitation, Mrs. Sandhya Gopinath delivered the importance of Mental Health on physical health and made the moment grater. After that to inauguration was done by lighting the lamp. The theme presentation, Mental health is an unequal world, was done by Sam Dennis, 3rd year student. Along with that a small psychological test was separately given for students and faculties to test to memory and IQ level. Winners were awarded according to their position. At last the programme was made gregarious by a warm up dance to present the importance of physical health and mental health. We ended the programme with a vote of thanks and National anthem at 4.00pm.


Report On Lamplighting Ceremony Of 11th Batch

The lamp lighting is an auspicious occasion in which formally recognizes the students entry into the Nursing profession. Light is a symbol of knowledge and it removes ignorance. The programme was conducted on 12th November (10.00 to 12.00 am) based on all protocols of covid pandemic situation. The programme was started by invocation of possession of students followed by the music. III Y BSc Nursing students Invoked God blessings through prayer song. On this occasion Mrs.Sridevi coordinator welcomed the gathering. The students were led into the profession with their lamps lit by dignitaries. Oath administered by Principal Prof.James Chacko, KUHS Senate member of Principal from affiliated Nursing colleges followed by address given by Chairman Dr.L.Jeyachandran about nursing profession. Principal Prof.James Chacko given motivational speech for I Yr B.Sc nursing students. Vote of thanks proposed by Mrs.Sandhya, Assistant Professor. The ceremony came to an end at 12.00 pm with national anthem followed by high tea.
