NSS Report

National Service Scheme is an educational programme with primary focus on the development of personality of students of through community service. As per the KUHS – Dean SA - NSS – Enrolment of NSS Volunteers in the University notification on 04/01/2021, the NSS unit of Chitra College of nursing had been selected the returning officer Mr. Vasudevan.N.J, Associate Professor, along with 137 volunteers. The future activities and progrmmes of NSS unit of Chitra College of nursing aim the overall development of the students.


COVID Jagratha Samithi Report

Covid 19 pandemic has challenged the health care systems across the world. Kerala could contain the spread of the virus under an able administration with a well equipped public health system. As per the University notification our college has formulated the covid jagratha samithi committee under the Chairman .Prof.james Chacko (Principal) and Mrs.Saritha Thampi selected as nodal officer. Based on this the college and hostel premises were decontaminated and measures were taken for minimum handling of common registers, class co ordinators were entrusted with online attendance. Directed to exhibit posters on break the chain at the entrance. Besides this with the help of college union two hand sanitizer dispensing unit in front of the college. Visitor’s book was maintained in front of the college. Social distancing was maintained in the hostel and college premises. Due arrangements were made for conduct of University examination for Covid 19 positive students. The college took stringent covid protocol for the conduct of theory examination in well ventilated room, separate invigilator, provision for video recording etc. Monthly report of Covid Jagratha Samithi had been duly forwarded to the University in time.

Central University of Kerala and Kerala University of Health Sciences jointly organizer a zoom platform on 23 February 2021 at 12.00pm. On behalf of Chitra College Nursing as Nodal Officer of SSGP Mrs. Sridevi V.R Participated the program. Inaugural sector given from Central University of Kerala Prof. Edvard Ingjald Moser, Winner of 2014 Nobel Prize in medicine of Physiology, who is the Professor Director of Kavil Institute for systems Neuroscience, carried out a distinguished lecture series from 12-1 pm based on the topic “How does the brain deal with space” and discussed based on his experiment and research.
