Parting is always painful. On April 4 th 2022, it was an incredible morning hosted and organised by current 4th year students to bid farewell for outgoing batch students. This is to wish them a great future in their career. The programme started with a prayer followed by delivering a few soothing messages by the Chairman Dr.L. Jayachandran-CIMSRC, Principal Prof. James Chacko and Vice-Principal and their faculties. The 2017 batch presented a momentum to the college and it was handed to our beloved Chairman. Followed by this the students of current Fourth batch organized a wonderful cultural session for the farewell outgoing batch and hand overed gifts to the outgoing students with various minds touching performance.
The current academic year 2022 office bearers of SNA unit from our college was selected based on the organization of Principal sir Prof. James Chack. The programme started with prayer song, followed by that a welcome address was given by fourth year student. Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”May 21st 2022 was a momentous day of Chitra college of Nursing, as the day witnessed a new event with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony of the 12th batch BSc Nursing students. As a sign of honour and respect to the Pioneer of nursing profession, the dignitaries garlanded the portrait of Florence Nightingale, The lady with the lamp. The dignitaries along with the faculty lit the lamps of nursing students which symbolizes wisdom, knowledge and compassion, followed by recitation of oath, pledging themselves to uphold the duties as a professional Nurse. A melodious and soothing song “Love shine a light” added solemnity for the program. The programme was colourful as the whole batch students adorned in their uniforms, marched along with melodious songs which made the atmosphere an enjoyable one. After invoking God’s blessings. The welcome address was adorned by Mrs.Sridevi.V.R. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr.L.Jayachandran, Founder & Chairman of Chitra College of Nursing. The distinguished guest lit the lamp and inaugurated the function. The presidential address was carried out by our beloved principal Prof.James chacko. He stressed the point that the students should be role models for the society, and he also added that they should consider each and every patient as their parents, brothers and sisters and care them with love and compassion. In his valuable message expressed that the nurses should spread the glitters of light to the horizons of the earth for those who are helpless and needy. The entire program was comp aired by Mrs. Shiny Wilson Mariam by her sweet voice.
