PTA meeting for the academic year 2021 was carried out for the new students for the I year B.Sc Nursing on 27/02/2021 at 10.30 am, nearly 97 % of parents attended the session. The PTA meeting had been organized staff secretary Mrs. Sridevi.V.R and Principal Prof.James Chacko along with executives. The agenda of the meeting was to receive the feedback of academic sessions/ progression, rules and regulation adherence and online selection of PTA president. All parents actively participated by giving the feedback to the principal sir. They communicated regarding the previous one month exposure of students in hostel and college. Mr. Sajin Joy had been mutually selected as the PTA President of this academic year. The following are the executive’s members; Mr.CA Mathew, Mr. Shajahan, Mrs.Pushpavalli, Mrs.Renuka, Mr.Sudheesh, Mrs.Suni, Mrs.Bindhu and Mrs.Renuka. PTA Executives and president decided to conduct meeting every 2 months once. As per Principal Instructions, college council and PTA will be well functioning. One week prior PTA meeting will be announced to parents.

A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman. Focussing on this we the Chitra college of Nursing celebrated International women’s day on March 8th in our college premises based on the theme 2021-“choose to challenge”. At the beginning of program our respected Principal sir Prof.James Chacko gave a short speech on Women’s day. A welcome speech was addressed by Mrs. Sridevi.V.R to inspire and encourage all the women to keep excelling consistently and to keep moving every time. Then some fun events were designed to make realize the women’s daily household work and of course to have fun for all. There was a lot of fun with all the students from all batches. A fashion show had been organized and two students were finalized from the contestants. . At the end, prize distribution for the winners of competition was done. Sweets and snacks were served among the participants for their nourishment and refreshment. Thus all the women teachers and staffs were warmly invited to witness the small program which was organised in the college auditorium. The students of the college gave various tributes to their teachers by performing melancholy song and a scintillating dance performance.

“World Health day 2021” Celebration was held on 16.04.2021 at 2.00 pm to 4:00 pm at Multi - Purpose Hall. The world health day is celebrated across the world every year on 7th of April under the leadership of world health organization to draw the mass people attention towards the importance of global health. The topic for the World Health Day 2021 is "BUILDING A FAIRER, HEATHIER WORLD”. The function was inaugurated by the Principal Mr.James Chacko and health speech was given by Mrs. Minimole (Asst Professor). The students in our college were performed very well. They conducted the programmes like Role play, Hand washing theme dance and all after the programme we have given snacks for them It was a beautiful day which filled with many messages the students given related to health program ended up with National Anthem
