Parting is always painful. On September 6th 2019, it was an incredible morning hosted and organised by 3rd year students to bid farewell for outgoing batch students. This is to wish them a great future in their career. The programme started with a prayer followed by delivering a few soothing messages by the Chairman DR.L.Jayachandran-CCON, Principal Mr.Sivajeya Anand.T and other faculties. The 2015 batch presented a momentum to the college and it was handed to our beloved Chairman. Followed by this the students of current Fourth batch organized a wonderful farewell for the outgoing batch and handover gifts to the outgoing students with various minds touching performance.


“Flood- We must build dikes o courage to hold back the flood of fear” as a part of this campaign, II Yr B.Sc Nursing students of chitra college of nursing conducted an epidemiological survey at the areas of Pandalam, Kadaikkad PHC on 29.08.2018 to 01.09.2018. First Session was an awareness class by Mr. Abraham Zachariah, Health Inspector of Kadaikkad PHC. The students were divided into seven groups and they went for Survey. During the survey they identified the flood affected houses, they given the medicines and disinfected the wells also.


As a part of requirement of Community Health Nursing of 2nd year bsc nursing of 37 students and 2 teachers of Chitra College of Nursing where visited the milma diary , Nariyapuram, Pathanamthitta on 22/12/2018, at 10.30 am. The plant officer Mr.Sibin was welcomed us and introduced himself and about the plant.He explain the each and every processing of milk, milk pasteurization ,production of various milma products, waste management, staffing pattern, organizational structure etc in very detailed manner. This visit was very informative for the study of food hygiene production and preservation.


Be the CCON faculties Mr.Shiva Jeyaanand, Mr.vasudevan.N.J, Mrs.Saritha Thampi, Mrs. Nivitha Nizar, Mrs.Shejinamol attended national conference on 22, 23 rd February 2019 organized by Shivagiri Sree Narayana Medical Mission College of Nursing, Sreenivasapuram, varkala, TVM regarding “ innovative Quality nursing care through evidence based practice.

It is 2 day continuum 12 hrs nursing education programme. It had daily 5 section morning section and evening 2 sections. It is Inaugurated by Mr.M.K.C Nair. The topics discussed under the sessions was innovations and qualities of nursing and nursing practice, Methods of Nursing Research, approach of nursing research and sample collection and analysis data.
